Chitawon Construction & Engineering Co (P) Ltd is a leading premier Class A civil engineering contractor with over 46 years of experience.

The Chitawon Construction and Engineering Company Nepal (P) Ltd. also known as Chitawon Co-E Nepal (P) Ltd. is a group of companies founded by our Late Chairman, Laxman Babu Shrestha in 1966. The Late Chairman’s first construction project was conceived in Chitawon District from where the company derives its name. Initially established as a civil construction business, the company was promoted to Class ‘A’ contractor category in 1978 and has subsequently evolved into a leading and reputed civil contractor, with over four decades of experience in both the government and private sector.

At present, the company has diversified its activities through other subsidiaries in Cable Car, Hydropower, Trading, Dairy, Tourism and related services, Real Estate and Investment in the Banking Sector. A true visionary and nationalist, our company continues to embody the Late Chairman's mission to invest and develop in different sectors of the country.

Established Sagarmatha Power Company as a Hydropower Company

Established Aar Bee Enterprises as a Trading Company

Established Chitawon Milk Limited as a Dairy Production and Processing Company

2014

Established Laxman Babu Shrestha Memorial Trust as a non-profit organization

2016

Sinohydro-Sagarmatha Power Company joint venture Upper Marsyangdi project started its commercial operation

2019

Established Resorts by Manakamana as a Resort Hotel Business
