Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd. are the operators of Nepal's first commercial cable car service, Manakamana Cable car and is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company. The aerial link connects Cheres, Chitwan and the Manakamana temple, Gorkha from which the cable car receives its name. The cable car system was designed by the Doppelmayr Group Austria, the leading international manufacturer in the aerial ropeway industry.
The Commercial operation started on November 23, 1998 and has completed 23 years of operation and provided service to over 10 Million visitors as of now. The cable car station also provides other services including a parking facility, a multi-cuisine restaurant, souvenir shops, snack stalls, etc.
The Cable Car service has promoted the Manakamana as a must visit place while in Nepal around the globe for pilgrimage, Leisure, recreation as well as adventure tourism and has contributed to the upliftment of the economy in the surrounding area of Manakamana and Darechowk VDC’s and also to the National economy.
